- Peel on desert island discs, 1989

The world's favorite season is the spring.
All things seem possible in May.

Beautiful day for it here in Istanbul, although the traffic is shocking throughout the city. Everyone is out and about, seems people have a bit more to protest about this year than usual. Anyhow, back to business. I enjoy listening to John Peel in conversation as much as hearing his old shows, truth be known. I wonder if anyone else has managed to get The Fall played on daytime radio 4.

Download the program from MEGAUPLOAD here, from DIVSHARE here or, if you prefer, read a transcript of the show here.

Did this help him land the Radio 4 gig?

I'm assuming you're downloading without any problems from MEGAUPLOAD. If it's not working, let me know.

i remember this making me cry - mainly the bits about his missus, but kind of the whole thing was very moving, even then.
i think i'd be a wreck if i listened to it again, but i'l keep it somewhere safe just in case.
thanks
